Open to dancers in professional training and professional dancers, we are offering limited places in a fantastic opportunity to work with dance artists who have decades of experience.

balletLORENT is north east England’s leading Dance Theatre company, founded by Artistic Director Liv Lorent. We create ambitious, inclusive, high quality work, touring to the UK’s most prestigious theatres, and suitable for all ages.

Our family programmes bring together an impressive network of acclaimed international collaborators Carol Ann Duffy, Murray Gold, Michele Clapton, Nasir Mazhar to retell the classic fairytale stories, whilst our critically acclaimed works made for adults offer a journey into more intimate and challenging narratives. Our work for film has achieved multiple awards at festivals across the globe.

We look forward to sharing our collaborative and ambitious approach to creating dance theatre, working with you to recreate and reimagine some of our past and present repertoire during this professional residency.

Each day will start with a professional level contemporary dance class. You will then have the chance to learn repertoire and create original work in collaboration with Liv and our creative artists. Get to grips with our sets, costumes and props as you explore balletLORENT’s unique vision of the relationship between dance, storytelling and physical theatre.

On the last Friday afternoon there will be an opportunity for you to use our props, costume and set to self-film in order to enhance your showreel, or create footage of yourself embodying a new range of physical challenges.
