Alex is Creative Director at Kala Sangam, an intercultural arts hub in the centre of Bradford that specialises in supporting the creation of dance and music which reflects the diversity of contemporary Britain. Alex began his career in arts marketing at Northern Ballet before moving on to West Yorkshire Playhouse and then heading up the communications department at Phoenix Dance Theatre. Prior to joining Kala Sangam he was Relationship Manager for Dance in the North for Arts Council England. He is Chair of Bradford's Cultural Voice Forum and a Steering Group member of both Bradford Producing Hub and Bradford's bid for City of Culture in 2025.
