Christine has steered balletLORENT as Executive Producer for the last 23 years and retired at the end of 2023.
Christine has enabled balletLORENT to perform at small, middle and large scale venues across the UK. She has ensured that the quality of artistic experience every audience receives from balletLORENT is of the highest standard. Her expertise has enabled the artistry of the company to exist in a diverse range of forms, including work for children and for adults in traditional theatres and community venues, including pop up performance spaces and outside festival stages across the country and Europe.
Christine began working in contemporary dance in 1994, as PA to Janet Archer, Artistic Director, Dance City. This introduction to working in the arts and with regional dance artists led Christine to incorporate her knowledge as a freelance independent dance manager in the North East. Clients included Tim Rubidge, Sunderland Dance Initiative and supporting Liv Lorent to develop balletLORENT. The latter is history, taking up a full-time post with balletLORENT as Executive Director/Producer in 2004 and assisting the company through many transitional periods of development from a small to a large-scale touring company.
