As part of Northern Stage’s ongoing commitment to supporting the independent sector in the North East, the theatre has announced the appointment of five Associate Artists: balletLORENT, Curious Arts, Curious Monkey, Gateway Studio (Martin and Debbie Hylton) and Luca Rutherford.
The associate artist scheme will be mutually beneficial, with the artists and venue sharing ideas, experience and skills. We are thrilled to be involved in this fantastic new programme and look forward to our future with the other artists involved.

We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary at Northern Stage with After Dark, four nightly events, cabaret-style, running from Wednesday 7 November to Saturday 10 November this year. These very special nights are an exclusive chance to experience scenes inspired by the ever popular la nuit intime and The Night Ball, with some original dances to savour for the very first time. There will be an exhibition of unseen photographs from the archive, a celebration of the Newcastle-based company’s heritage and a soundtrack of their favourite music and songs.
