balletLORENT is seeking to employ a General Manager to be part of a small team based at John Marley Centre, Newcastle.
The General Manager is a pivotal role at balletLORENT working closely with the leadership team to support the running of the day-to-day operations, governance and administration of the organisation and contributing to projects, productions and the overall strategic vision of the company.
The General Manager will play a lead role in Operations, Compliance, Financial and Human Resources. They will ensure that cohesive, efficient, cost effective and robust policies, and operations are in place for balletLORENT.
They will have a hands-on approach and be confident managing a broad range of responsibilities.
This is an exciting time for the company, having recently celebrated our 30year anniversary and moved into new premises. balletLORENT is a National Portfolio Organisation and a National Strategic Partner of Sadler’s Wells. We have a core company of 12 members of staff.
In 2024/25 we will produce a new mid-scale work and tour it nationally in Spring and Autumn 25, we will tour a small-scale production and recreate and present a work for audiences at our venue. We will continue with our busy Learning & Participation programme which includes weekly classes in our studio as well as projects and residencies in schools and community settings.
Terms
Job Title: General Manager
Rates of Pay: £33,000pa. Paid monthly.
Term: It is a permanent role.
Responsible to: Executive Director
Location: John Marley Centre
Holiday: 25 Days, plus 7 Bank Holidays
