The Becoming—a private view into the world of dancers through my eyes.

The Becoming is a work that unequivocally expresses my admiration for the many dancers I have collaborated with. Although I have never wanted to perform myself, I am both curious and in awe of the remarkable transformations each performer undergoes to embody their roles. For over 30 years, I have always depended on dancers to bring my ideas to life. Every time we work together, I am amazed by how they turn my suggestions into reality.

This is how we work with music, costumes, and a message. The Becoming is about watching the transformation into something extraordinary. Creating dance is an idealistic adventure, shown openly here. Boldness is encouraged, vulnerability is necessary, and determination drives it all.
