Parade
For everyoneCreated during the pandemic as lockdown restrictions were eased, Parade is about who we became in our fantasy world, after more than a year of isolation from our families, friends and ability to travel away from our own households.
Some longed for glamour, or sometimes complete transformation into creature or nature, even becoming a tree. Parade is a desire for some to become almost completely unrecognisable from who they were before this locked up and solitary time. And it is about a desire to find a bond and community with other individuals who have also undergone transformation and have hoped to come through to the end of this experience.
Most of us in the world have now had something of a shared experience and have experienced multiple differences to our lives that were unimaginable before the pandemic. Parade brings us together for a moment in time as we are poised for an uncertain future, knowing we are different from who we were before.
